Sour Milk Cake

Ingredients are for 1 Cake.

Additional Info:

If your sour milk is very sour, add 1/2 teaspoon more of baking soda.

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350°F / 180°C / Gas Mark 4

Sift together the flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda and salt into mixing bowl.

Add egg, butter, sour milk, hot water and vanilla.

Beat, with an electric mixer at medium speed for 2 minutes.

Pour the batter into a greased 13 x 9 x 2 inch cake pan.

Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes or until a toothpick, inserted into the center, comes out clean.

This is a moist and rich cake and does not need frosting.
