Tips and Hacks
You can slice a round vegetable easier if you first cut a thin, flat slice, then hold it cut-side down against the cutting board. This will keep the vegetable from slipping around.
Pickled Okra

Ingredients

1 tablespoon
2 cloves
4 pints
1 whole
2 whole
1 quart
1 cup
1/2 cup

Directions:

Divided dill and garlic. Place equally in 4 pint jars.

Pack okra and peppers into the jars next. Pack tightly. Set aside.

In a pan, on medium-high heat, bring vinegar, water and salt to a boil.

Pour into the jars, completely covering the vegetables.

Seal the jars. Let steep in a cool dark place for 3 weeks.
