To prevent cheese from molding, store it in an air tight container with a couple of sugar cubes. Be sure to date and label the container.
Kentucky Eggnog

Ingredients are for 6 Servings.

6 large
1/4 cup
2 1/2 cups
1/2 cup
1/2 teaspoon
1/4 teaspoon
Directions:
In a medium saucepan, whisk together the egg yolks and sugar.

Slowly beat in 2 cups of milk.

Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until thermometer registers 160°F or mixture coats back of a metal spoon.

Remove from heat.

Strain into a decorative pitcher to remove any egg yolks that may have clumped.

Stir in remaining 1/2 cup milk, bourbon, vanilla and nutmeg.

Cover and chill for at least 8 hours.

When serving, sprinkle with additional nutmeg.

Tested and True
When using cornstarch and water mixture to make a "slurry", throw any extra in the trash and not down the drain. Cornstarch will solidify and clog your drains.
