4 cups
3/4 cup
1/2 teaspoon
2 large
1/2 teaspoon
Directions:
To drain the liquid from the cottage cheese:
Line a colander with clean cheesecloth. Scoop out the cottage cheese into the colander. Allow to drain. This could take up to an hour.

In a heavy saucepan, on medium heat, add the well drained cottage cheese, sugar and salt.

Cook to incorporate all the ingredients, and the filling starts to thicken.

Add the beaten eggs, slowly, stirring continuously so the eggs don't scramble.

Add the vanilla. Cook to allow the eggs to thicken the filling.

Remove from the heat and allow to cool.

When ready to use, spoon about 1/2 teaspoonful of filling for each square of Kolache dough.
