Chocolate Chanukah Stars

Ingredients are for 48 Cookies.

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350°F / 180°C / Gas Mark 4

In a large bowl, beat prune butter, sugar and eggs on medium speed of an electric mixer.

Stir together flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt.

Add to butter mixture, beating until well blended.

Cover; refrigerate dough until firm enough to handle.

On a lightly floured surface, roll dough to 1/8-inch thickness; cut with star-shaped cookie cutter. You can also use Menorah, Dreidel or other cookie cutters.

Place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in a preheated 350°F oven for 5 to 7 minutes, or until no imprint remains when touched lightly in the center.

Cool for 1 minute. Remove cookies to a wire rack. Cool completely.

Sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
