1. Cut the bacon into small pieces and fry it until it is lightly browned.
2. Add the margarine and chopped onion.
3. Fry the onion with the bacon until the onion is soft and golden, about 5 minutes.
4. Remove from the heat and set aside.
5. In a bowl, add the eggs, sour cream, salt, pepper and nutmeg.
6. Beat together with a whisk or eggbeater.
7. Spread the cooked onions and bacon in the pie crust.
8. Pour the egg mixture over them.
9. With a spoon, even out the contents of the pie pan.
10. Bake in a preheated 375°F oven for approximately 40 minutes, or until the custard is firm and golden brown and the crust is also browned.
11. Cut the pie into 6 to 8 wedges and serve hot.
