This recipe is a gentle yet effective way to manage pests on your apple tree, using everyday ingredients already in your kitchen.

2 tablespoons Liquid Dish Soap » mild
1 cups Water
2 tablespoons Vegetable Oil
1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
Optional Ingredients:

1 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper

Directions:

1. In a clean spray bottle, combine the water, liquid soap, vegetable oil, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper.

2. The cayenne pepper is optional but recommended for its strong repellent effect on many types of pests.

3. Secure the top of the spray bottle and shake it vigorously.

4. Spray the mixture liberally onto your apple trees, this includes the leaves, branches, and even the trunk.

5. Repeat the application every 7 to 10 days, or after heavy rainfall.

6. When to Spray: It's best to spray in the early morning or late evening to avoid the peak sun hours.
