Also known as Dabo Kolo in Ethiopian cuisine. They will look like flat peanuts, and are served as a snack or with cocktails, and like peanuts, once you start eating them you can't stop.

Ingredients are for 30 Portions

Ingredients:
Qty Unit Ingredient
2 cups All-purpose Flour
1/2 teaspoon Salt
2 tablespoons Sugar
1/2 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
1/4 cup Vegetable Oil
Prep Time Process Time Overall Time
30 Minutes 10 Minutes 40 minutes
Directions:

1. In a 1-quart bowl; mix flour, salt, sugar, cayenne pepper and oil.

2. Knead adding water spoonful by spoonful, to form a stiff dough.

3. Knead dough for 5 minutes longer.

4. Tear off a piece about the size of a golf ball and place it on a lightly floured board to prevent sticking.

5. Using the palms of your hands; roll it into a long strip about 1/2 inch thick.

6. Cut it into 1/2 inch pieces with a knife or kitchen scissors.

7. Place enough pieces to cover the bottom of an ungreased 9 inch frying pan.

8. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally until light brown on all sides.

9. Repeat this process until you've used all the dough.

10. Delicious served with a cocktail or a good movie.
