Baked Butternut Squash

1 large Butternut Squash » large
2 teaspoon Ground Anise
1/8 teaspoon Ground Cardamom
3 tablespoon Brown Sugar
8 tablespoon Butter » melted
2 tablespoon Lemon Juice » fresh

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F / 180°C / Gas Mark 4

1. Peel and cut open the Butternut squash. Remove and discard the seeds and the fibers.

2. Cut the squash into 1-inch cubes.

3. Turn the squash into a buttered 2-quart baking dish.

4. Sprinkle with the salt and pepper, ground anise, cardamom and brown sugar.

5. Drizzle butter and lemon juice over the top.

6. Bake the squash, uncovered, in a preheated 350°F oven for about 30 minutes, or until the squash is fork tender.
