Bacon is a cured or uncured pork meat cut from the belly or the back of a pig.
It has a distinct flavour that works well in a variety of recipes or on its own with breakfast.
Unopened bacon can last up to 2 weeks in the refrigerator and up to 8 months in the freezer.
Bacon that has been opened but not cooked only lasts around 1 week in the refrigerator and up to 6 months in the freezer.
Usually found in the Pork Aisle.
