A member of the mint family, Oregano is a stronger herb than its close cousin, Marjoram.
Oregano is widely used in Italian, Greek and Mexican foods, tomato dishes and with some vegetables.
Oregano is a good source of iron, manganese, vitamin K, fiber and calcium. It also contains omega-3 fatty acids.
Use it sparingly until you are accustomed to its strong flavor.
Usually found in the Herbs Aisle.
