2 teaspoons Sugar
1 tablespoon White vinegar
1 large diced Onion
2 cups Water
1 pound Sour Cream
3 tablespoons Mayonnaise
1 tablespoon fresh Lemon juice
1 teaspoon Mustard

Cook potatoes in their skin until just tender. Drain, peel and slice them after cooking. Make a marinade with 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon sugar, vinegar, onion and as much water as needed to cover the sliced potatoes. Let it stand over night in the marinade.

The next day, in a bowl, mix sour cream, mayonnaise, 1 teaspoon sugar, lemon juice, 1 teaspoon salt and mustard.

Strain the marinade from the potatoes and pour the mayonnaise dressing over the potatoes. Gently mix to coat the potatoes. Let it stand for a few hours before serving.
