Cornstarch paste is used in many recipes as a thickener. It's simply 3 parts water to 1 part cornstarch ratio.

This recipe is offered as an approximate guide. Some cooks prefer the thin paste, some prefer thick.

Thoroughly mix together cold water and cornstarch. Always stir mixture again just before using because the starch settles.
