2 cups All-purpose flour
1/2 cup Sugar
3 teaspoons Baking powder
1/2 teaspoon Baking soda
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1/2 cup finely chopped Walnuts
1 ea Egg
3/4 cup Milk
1/4 cup Vegetable oil
1 1/2 cup smashed, ripe Bananas
Add these ingredients to your Shopping List.
Directions Preheat oven to 350°F / Gas Mark 4

Grease a 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan.

Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Stir in the chopped walnuts.

In a separate bowl beat together the egg, milk, vegetable oil and bananas.

Add the liquid ingredients to the dry ingredients and beat for about 30 seconds. The batter will be lumpy.

Turn into prepared loaf pan and bake in your preheated oven for 65 to 70 minutes. A toothpick inserted into the center and coming out clean indicates the Banana Nut Bread is done.
